Limerick East): I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that, on the basis of its annual industrial employment surveys, a total of 784 jobs were created in industry in County Galway between November 1984 and November 1985. There were 522 job losses in industry in County Galway over the same period, resulting in a net increase in industrial employment of 262 in the county.
The number of jobs expected to arise from IDA grant approvals from 1 January 1985 to 31 March 1986 is 1,196 at full production. Data in respect of jobs actually created and jobs lost in 1986 to date are not available.
