Discussions are taking place in the South Eastern Health Board at present on the possible transfer of dental services from Lismore where the dental clinic is in poor structural condition to Cappoquin where the health centre has a fully equipped new dental surgery.

There has not been a curtailment of medical and dental services for children in national schools in County Waterford. In accordance with the Health Act, 1970, the child health services are provided for pre-school and national school children.
