I am satisfied that Civics is being taught in accordance with the curriculum as laid down in the Rules and Programme for Secondary Schools. As indicated in my reply to Question No. 6 from the Deputy on 27 May 1986, the Curriculum and Examinations Board has been directed to prepare a new social education programme for post primary schools.
