asked the Minister for Finance the amount of the grants for infrastructural and other development which Ireland has obtained from the European Regional Fund in the past three years; the counties which have benefited; and the amount by which each county has benefited.

In the past three years 1983 to 1985 grants totalling IR£280.293 million were approved for Ireland from the European Regional Development Fund.
The whole country benefited from those grants as the receipts from the European Regional Development fund are used to increase the overall level of resources available for development throughout the country through the public capital programme.
