Vol. 369 No. 3

Written Answers. - Housing Aid for the Elderly Scheme.

53.

asked the Minister for the Environment if special consideration will be given to the provision of an electricity supply to persons who qualify under the housing aid for the elderly scheme having had their right to service approved by the health board.

It is a matter within the discretion of the individual health boards to decide what works should be carried out under this scheme. Particular applications have to be considered on their merits and a determination on eligibility is made locally having regard to the funds available and the relative priority of applications.
