While terms have been agreed for the purchase by the Commissioners of Public Works of the former County Infirmary, Battery Road, Longford, the commissioners have not yet become the owners of the property. Refurbishment of the premises to enable it to be used as a district veterinary office by the Department of Agriculture will commence as soon as possible after the legal formalities in connection with the purchase have been completed.
