Vol. 369 No. 6

Written Answers. - Dredging of Dingle Harbour.

95.

asked the Minister for Finance if the survey regarding the dredging of Dingle Harbour is now complete.

The results of the hydrographic survey, carried out at Dingle harbour by the Commissioners of Public Works, to determine the extent and cost of dredging necessary to restore the water depths, provided as part of an improvement scheme completed in 1974, were conveyed in October 1985 to Roinn na Gaeltachta who were the sponsors of that scheme.

A report on the cost of a proposal to carry out more extensive dredging of the harbour was forwarded by the Commissioners to the Department of Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry in December 1985 in response to a request by that Department.
