asked the Minister for Energy if the results of the general Dublin city-wide gas leak survey undertaken following the Raglan House disaster are available to him; and if he will outline the findings and the programme of remedial work initiated as a result of the survey.

I am advised by Dublin Gas Company that a survey of apartment blocks and offices undertaken following the Raglan House disaster is substantially complete and any leaks discovered have been attended to. In addition, a programme for the renewal of small bore cast iron pipes in the vicinity of apartment blocks is underway.
A study has been commissioned on the network and an interim report is expected shortly which will lay out a programme for the systematic renewal where necessary of the mains system.
