asked the Minister for Social Welfare when a decision will be given regarding an application for the maximum rate of unemployment assistance of a person (details supplied) in County Cork.
Written Answers. - Unemployment Assistance Claim.
162.
Following a review of the unemployment assistance claim of the person concerned he was assessed with means of £44.70 weekly, derived from the value of board and lodgings on his son's holding. He appealed against the amount of means assessed against him and an appeals officer on 26 March 1987 reduced the assessment to £40.
He is, accordingly, in receipt of unemployment assistance of £12.60 weekly, being the appropriate maximum weekly rate payable in his case of 54.60 less means of £40 and an agreed deduction of £2 weekly in respect of a previous overpayment.
