asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny will be paid a house improvement grant.

The grant will be paid as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny will be paid a new house grant.

The grant will be paid within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny will be paid a new house grant.

The receipt of additional documentation requested from the applicant is awaited.

247.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £5,000 grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

Confirmation that the applicant has complied with all the conditions of the scheme has recently been received and the grant will be paid within the next few weeks.

248.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has not been paid a mortgage subsidy.

The first instalment of the mortgage subsidy will be paid when the applicant submits to my Department the appropriate claim form duly completed and certified by the relevant lending agency.

249.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will receive a house improvement grant cheque; and the reason for the delay in payment as the final inspection was eight weeks ago.

asked the Minister for the Environment the grants awarded to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford for his property which is in four units.

Approval of grants will be considered on receipt of a further report from the Department's inspector.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a house improvement grant application of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will be approved following correspondence submitted in early March to his Department and as the seven year waiting period has elapsed.

asked the Minister for the Environment if the house improvement grant reapplication of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will be approved.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 251 and 306 together.

The application was rejected in November 1986 as the required waiting period had not elapsed since payment of a previous reconstruction grant. While the application was received in March 1987 an inspection had not been carried out on or before 27 March 1987. Accordingly a grant cannot now be allowed.

252.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a person (details supplied) in County Waterford has received approval for a house improvement grant; and if approval to commence work can be given.

Notification of grant approval has issued to the applicant.

253.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Waterford will receive payment of a house improvement grant which was passed in October 1986.

The grant will be paid as soon as possible.

254.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

A new house grant cannot be paid in this case as the floor area of the house exceeds the statutory limit.
