The 1985 road plan set traget dates for the completion of three of these schemes, as follows:—

It is expected that there will be a delay of about one year in the completion of each of these schemes.
The proposed Lucan-Kilcock motorway scheme provides for the by-passing of Leixlip. The target date for the commencement of that scheme was 1987. I expect to be in a position shortly to give a decision on the motorway proposals for this scheme. Because of my quasi-judicial function in the matter, I do not propose to comment any further on the scheme at this stage.
