Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of a new house grant.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named at the address given.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive approval for a house improvement grant; and the amount he will receive.

This case was covered by the general dispensation from prior inspection announced in February 1986 and notification issued to the applicant authorising him to proceed with the work in respect of which his application was made subject to the conditions of the scheme (other than the prior inspection requirement) applicable when he applied for the grant. It will be a matter for the applicant to notify the Department in due course when the works have been carried out. At that stage the amount of the grant will be determined following an inspection.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of a new house grant.

The grant will be paid within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment when arrangements will be made to issue approval and make payment of a housing grant for a person (details supplied) in County Dublin.

The grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the work has been satisfactorily completed. An inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a mortgage subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly who applied before Christmas.

There is no record of the receipt in my Department of an application for a mortgage subsidy from the person named at the address given.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a mortgage subsidy will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Louth.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a mortgage subsidy from the person named at the address given.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a house improvement grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

On receipt of notification of completion of all works outstanding a final inspection with a view to payment of the grants will be arranged.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a local authority surrender grant and a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

Applications for surrender grants are dealt with by the relevant local authority up to the stage of certification for payment. The appropriate certificate has not been received in the Department in this case.

With regard to the new house grant, there is no record of the receipt in my Department of an application from the person named at the address given.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named. However, an application was received from a person with a broadly similar name from the same address. In that case additional details have been requested from the applicant and their receipt is awaited.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a reconstruction grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The issue of grant approval will be further considered on receipt of certain information requested from the applicant. It follows that payment of a grant does not arise at this stage.

asked the Minister for the Environment if approval will be granted to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford for a house improvement grant as he has already entered into a financial commitment on the strength of receiving approval for this grant.

A grant cannot be allowed as an inspection of the house had not been carried out on or before 27 March 1987.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to persons (details supplied) in County Waterford; and the amount of grant due to them.

Notification of grant approval in the amount of £2,000 in respect of necessary repairs and window-door replacement will issue to the applicant as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will review the amount of a house improvement grant approved for a person (details supplied) and when payment will be made.

The grant approved is the maximum amount payable for the particular category of works. On receipt of notification of completion of the work a final inspection with a view to payment of this grant will be arranged.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a new house grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named at the address given.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a new house grant and a builder's grant have been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

The receipt of additional documentation requested from the applicant is awaited.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a person (details supplied) in County Waterford has received payment for a new house grant.

A new house grant will be paid in this case if a final inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been fulfilled.

A recent inspection established that further works remained to be carried out in the house.
