The person concerned was paid disability benefit from August 1983 to 28 November 1984. In response to his request he was transferred to an invalidity pension from 29 November 1984 and payment of that pension has continued to date. The Department has no record of receipt of a further claim for disability benefit. The Social Welfare Acts do not permit concurrent payment of disability benefit and invalidity pension.
