As indicated in the previous reply, the Combat Poverty Agency is the only State-sponsored body under the aegis of the Department of Social Welfare. The agency came into operation in September 1986 and consultations on the format of its annual reports and accounts are currently taking place. The requirements of the Government decision of 16 December 1986 are being taken into account in these consultations.
