Vol. 374 No. 7

Written Answers. - State Cars.

197.

asked the Minister for Health (a) the names of all persons who are provided with cars by the State, excluding members of the Government; (b) the Departments of State, semi-State agencies and boards constituted by the Government where these persons are employed and the offices they hold; (c) the number of drivers employed, the total cost in each case and the type of use for which these cars are permitted; and (d) the total overall cost to the State.

No cars are provided for officials of my Department. Within the semi-State agencies and boards only one of the noncommercial agencies or boards provide cars for their staff that is the National Rehabilitation Board who provide six cars for their field officers. Information concerning the total cost of these vehicles is not readily available but will be communicated to the Deputy as soon as possible.
