I regard the introduction of legislation providing for the seizure and confiscation of the assets of drug traffickers as a high priority.
As the Deputy will appreciate this type of legislation gives rise to certain constitutional questions in this country and my Department is currently in consultation with the Attorney General's office about these issues.
