Provision is included in the health capital programme for the hospital developments at Waterford, Wexford and Sligo. Construction work is in progress on the Ardkeen Hospital scheme and I have recently approved of the acceptance of tenders for the Wexford and Sligo projects. The expenditure required for these developments in 1987 will depend on several factors which are difficult to determine accurately, including the rate at which the building work proceeds in Ardkeen and the precise dates of commencement of construction at Wexford and Sligo and I cannot say at this stage how much exactly will be spent on the projects in the current year.
