No persons employed in my Department are provided with cars by the State.
Where cars are provided for chief executives in State bodies operating under the aegis of my Department, the principles laid down in paragraph 10.76 of report No. 20 of the Devlin Review Body are applicable. Where cars are provided for other staff of those State bodies and private use is permitted, the principle which applies is that 25 per cent of the list price at time of purchase is payable annually to the body concerned.
