Vol. 376 No. 5

Written Answers. - Rights of Parent.

179.

asked the Minister for Health if he will initiate an inquiry and if he will make a statement on the circumstances relating to a person (details supplied) in Great Britain where it appears that the rights of a parent are being unnaturally and improperly interfered with; if he will investigate whether the facts contained in a document (details supplied) are correct; and if so the action, if any, he proposes to take in this matter.

I am aware of this case. Mr. Clarke has been in correspondence with my Department over a long period of time. His main source of complaint relates to the effect of court decisions made in relation to the custody of and access to his children. As the Deputy will appreciate it is not normal practice to make public details of family law cases. I will be in contact with the Deputy in the near future in the matter.
