Vol. 376 No. 9

Written Answers. - Members of State Bodies.

246.

asked the Minister for Health if he will give details of the membership of each semi-State and State-sponsored body under his aegis giving the names, period of appointment and remuneration to date including all expenses paid and any other payment including foreign travel.

The information sought by the Deputy in relation to the membership of each semi-State and State-sponsored body under my aegis including the names and period of appointment of each member is being forwarded to him in booklet form.

Fees are payable to board members in only two instances, the Voluntary Health Insurance Board (£520 per annum) and An Bord Uchtála (£750 per annum). The chairman of the VHI receives a fee of £800 per annum. The other information sought is not available in my Department and would not ordinarily be furnished to my Department by the bodies in question.
