asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport if he will outline the prospects for further development of Cork airport in 1988; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Cork Airport.
20.
In 1988 it is expected that up to £2 million will be spent by Aer Rianta on development works at Cork Airport, with most of this expenditure arising on the continuation of work on the extension to the main runway. In addition, a further £1.6 million will be spent by the State on the provision of new VHF communications equipment and a new instrument landing system for the airport. These investments will ensure that Cork Airport continues to provide the highest levels of service for passengers and other airport users in the future.
