The BCG vaccination service for children has not been discontinued. National policy in regard to BCG vaccination will be reviewed when the study, carried out by the Faculty of Community Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland, on the age specific tuberculin conversion rates in children, is received in my Department.
