An application for a shared remedial teaching post was received from the board of management of two of the eight schools in the Rathmore parish.
Available, remedial posts are allocated in accordance with an assessment of priorities. The application in question has not to date been placed sufficiently high in order of priority of educational need to warrant the allocation of a post.
Should applications be received from the other schools they will be considered in conjunction with those on hand in the light of the availability of such posts in the future.
