Written Answers. - Seirbhís Phoiblí.

81.

asked the Minister for Finance in respect of the magazine Seirbhís Phoiblí, the number of staff, by grade involved in his Department in publishing the magazine; its paid circulation over the last three years; the value of its advertising revenue; and its average net cost to the Exchequer in 1985, 1986 and 1987.

The staff involved in the publication of Seirbhís Phoiblí are one administration officer (25 per cent of time) in preparing and editing the journal and one higher executive officer (20 per cent of time) in production.

The journal is circulated to individuals and organisations in the public sector and to third level educational institutes and to trade union and employer organisations. Paid circulation is small — estimated at less than 50 for each issue in 1985, 1986 and 1987.
