The construction of the section of the road between the Old Belgard Road and Ballymount Road Upper is being financed as part of the contract for the Tallaght Road/Galway Road section of the Dublin Ring Road. Recently, I approved a proposal for the acceptance of a tender for that contract and a grant of £7 million has been allocated to Dublin County Council in 1988 for the Tallaght Road/Galway Road scheme.
