Detailed figures are not readily available and the provision of accurate information would require the deployment of considerable resources. The changes were applied only to new entrants to training programmes since 17 August 1987. I am confident that the savings in 1988 will allow FÁS to maintain its throughput of trainees close to the 1987 level.
