In regard to primary and post-primary teachers no payments were made from State funds towards the cost of substitute cover or other loss of earnings in relation to absences of the kind referred to.
No payments have been made from the funds provided for the sports section of my Department towards the cost of substitute teachers or other loss of earnings in respect of primary or post primary teachers whose involvement with international sports activities as competitors, managers or coaches caused them to be absent from employment during school term.
