asked the Minister for the Environment, in view of the body of local opinion against the proposed plan of the local authority, known as scheme A, entailing widening of the road from the castle entrance at the Swords Road to Yellow Walls Road, Malahide, County Dublin and in favour of a more acceptable plan B preferred by local residents in the area, whether he is prepared to support the wishes of the residents.

On 9 May 1988, Dublin County Council submitted to my Department a redesigned outline scheme for the improvement of the Malahide Road between its junction with the Swords Road and Yellow Walls Road. The proposals are under consideration at present.
