asked the Minister for the Environment when finance will be made available to Kilkenny County Council for the extension of Kilkenny water scheme of Troyswood to Freshford, County Kilkenny; and in the event of such finance becoming available when work will commence.

Working drawings for the extension of the Kilkenny-Freshford water supply scheme from Threecastles to Freshford are under consideration in my Department and I hope to be in a position to make a decision on the matter in the near future.
