Following the seizure of the Eksund arms shipment last year, additional measures have been taken to prevent the illegal importation of weaponry and explosives into the State. These measures include the commitment of additional Garda resources to surveillance and intelligence gathering. It would not be in the public interest for me to say anything more specific on the matter.
