It is proposed to issue a stamp in 1990 in the "Statesmen of Ireland" series to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Michael Collins. Stamps in this series to commemorate Arthur Griffith, Cathal Brugha and W.T. Cosgrave have already been issued and later this year a stamp to commemorate Seán T. O'Kelly will be issued.
