The amount of capitation grant payable to authorities of national schools is calculated by reference to general regulations related to categories of school. The general rate of grant was increased in 1988-89 and stands at present at £26.50 per pupil. It is paid on condition that a local contribution of at least £6.62 per pupil is lodged to the school account. It would not be in accordance with normal practice to give details of the grants paid to individual schools.
