There are no suitable school bus services in the Newcastle area of which the person referred to can avail. In such circumstances, my Department is authorised to offer a grant towards private transport arrangements, and has, in fact, sanctioned a cash grant.
The special circumstances of this case have been particularly taken into account in settling the amount of grant sanctioned.
