(Limerick East) asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to the fact that Pallasgreen Development Committee are currently involved in a feasibility study on the possible use of the former Garda barracks at Pallasgreen, County Limerick; if he will reconsider his decision to sell the barracks at an early date; and if he will transfer the property to Limerick County Council.

A number of parties, including Pallasgreen Community Council, have expressed interest in acquiring the former Garda station at Pallasgreen, County Limerick. Tenders for the premises have been invited on the open market, in accordance with Government policy on the disposal of surplus State property, and tender forms have been sent to all interested parties, including the local community council.
