Recoupment in any year is based on expenditure in the previous year.
There is no separate grant for ewe hoggets but hoggets can qualify for grants under the sheep headage scheme which applies to all disadvantaged areas.
The beef cow scheme applies to the less severely handicapped areas and the cattle headage scheme applies to the more severely handicapped areas.
