Delays in payment of grants have occurred recently through a combination of factors such as staff shortages and the disruption of work occasioned by the recent transfer of the Department's accounts branch to Cavan. Additional staff have now been allocated to these duties. Work on the clearance of the back-log which has built up has commenced and I am confident that it will be cleared in the near future.
The amounts of reactor and depopulation grants payable to the herdowner in question are £3,210 and £720 respectively.
