As the Deputy is aware the annual capital provision for second level school building programme is made on a global basis and no specific amount is allocated for any particular project. I am not in a position at present to state when the proposed new community school at Ashbourne, County Meath can proceed to construction as the rate at which this project will advance is dependent on the completion of the planning/design procedures of my Department, the availability of capital resources and on my Department's other commitments and priorities.
The Deputy will also be aware that I have arranged a further meeting with the Ashbourne second level committee for Tuesday, 28 November next.
