The Commission has not yet presented to the Council its proposals for the scheme of school exchanges to be called "Classes 1992" and accordingly I am not in a position to indicate how any scheme eventually approved may operate. However, since any scheme introduced would apply to schools in all the member states, Irish schools would participate in it.
