Ceist:130 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in issuing a tax rebate to a person (details supplied) in County Louth; and when the rebate will issue.
Written Answers. - Tax Refund.
The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that an amended certificate of tax-free allowances on a cumulative basis will be issued to the taxpayer within the next week. Any repayment of tax due to him will be made by his employer on operation of that certificate.
The delay in issuing the certificate was caused by the fact that it was necessary to obtain additional information from the taxpayer concerning his previous employments.
