431 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education if she has any proposals to alter the present system of appointment to posts of responsibility in vocational schools in order to minimise the possible influence of political or other nonprofessional considerations.

This matter is at present receiving consideration within my Department in the context of an overall review of the appointment process for vocational school teachers.
