I am actively encouraging the State agencies under the aegis of my Department to develop fully their potential as providers of services abroad through consultancy assignments and similar arrangements, as envisaged in the Programme for National Recovery. The Aer Lingus group, Aer Rianta, Bord Fáilte and the CIE Group have taken specific steps, including the establishment, where appropriate, of special consultancy units, to maximise their earnings from such activities and I am happy to say that these efforts are continuing to meet with considerable success worldwide.
