Ceist:

130 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he has received an application for grant aid from the proceeds of the national lottery in respect of Ballyowen Meadows Special School, County Kildare, which caters for children from County Kildare and surrounding counties; if he accepts the merit of the application; if he will give favourable consideration to the request of financial assistance; if he can anticipate a response in 1990; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

No application for funding under the scheme of grants to voluntary social service organisations administered by my Department and funded from the national lottery appears to have been received from the organisation in question. Information on the scheme, together with an application form, has been sent to the organisation.
