153 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make funds available to carry out major road works on the Cashel-Tipperary road; and if he will agree to meet a deputation from Tipperary County Council to discuss the subject.
At present, there are no proposals before my Department for major improvements to the N74 Cashel-Tipperary road. The development of any such proposals is primarily a matter for the local authority, Tipperary (South Riding) County Council.
In the event of proposals for major improvements to the Cashel-Tipperary road being received in the Department, the question of road grant funding and of the reception by me of a deputation from the county council to discuss the matter will be considered.
