154 Mr. Alyward asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a £5,000 house surrender grant has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny where application was made and approval issued by Kilkenny County Council.

Applications for the £5,000 surrender grant are processed by the local authority concerned up to the stage of certification for payment. A payment certificate has not been received in the Department in this case.
