Ceist:183 Dr. G. FitzGerald asked the Minister for Education when Sandford Park School, Ranelagh, Dublin 6 will receive a grant to complete phase III of its building programme.

My Department are currently examining the accommodation proposals recently submitted by the school management. When this examination is completed a decision will be conveyed to the school authorities on their application for grant aid.
The Deputy will be aware of the very large number of applications currently with my Department for grant-aid in respect of school building projects. It is, of course, not possible to respond to every application due to the financial circumstances. My Department's policy is to respond as much as possible to cases where accommodation is in very bad repair or in cases of school amalgamation.
