77 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs his views on the proposed establishment of a European Centre for Global Interdependence and Solidarity to deal with north/south issues.
My view is that the North-South Dialogue is already adequately catered for by existing international institutions and that the resources available to the Council of Europe could most usefully be concentrated on areas of co-operation in which the Council has specific expertise.
