Ceist:82 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he has had any consultation with Romania regarding the many requests by Irish couples to adopt children from that country; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have had no consultations with the Romanian authorities on this issue. It is my understanding, however, that people who wish to adopt a child in Romania should in the first instance contact the Romanian Embassy at London.
