Ceist:

35 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Finance if he will report on the present position regarding the construction of the proposed new Garda station at Bremore, Balbriggan, County Dublin; if the necessary finance will be provided in 1990; and the projected commencement date for same.

Tenders have been received for the erection of a new Garda District Headquarters at Balbriggan. They are receiving active consideration. The necessary finance to allow works to commence in 1990 has been provided. It is expected that a contract will be placed shortly.
