199 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the provision of a new primary school for Carnacon, Claremorris, County Mayo; if her attention has been drawn to the inadequate facilities there at present; and if she will make moneys available in order that work may commence on a new school in 1990.

I accept that the provision of a new national school for Carnacon, Claremorris, County Mayo is an urgent matter. Tenders which have been received for the project are being examined in my Department and this examination will be completed at the earliest possible date.
