Ceist:154 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Justice if he will expedite the provision of free legal aid for a person (details supplied) in County Meath.

I presume that the question relates to the scheme of civil legal aid and advice which is administered by the Legal Aid Board. The board is an independent body. I have no function in the matter and I am specifically precluded under the terms of the scheme from exercising any power or control over any particular case with which the board is or may be concerned.
